Scrapbook Heaven!

On 10/10, Lila Herauf, Brenda Neff, and I went to the CHA Scrapbook convention in KC.

Lila and I joined in on a make and take.

We had a wonderful time...it was great to get away and do something I truly love.

Brenda rests her weary bones!

Lila watches a demo.

The Best Day Ever

Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary. We didn't do much but spent quality time together. We talked about our wedding day...Phil swears I floated down the aisle...our first meeting, our first real date, and the day he proposed. We are best friends and soul mates. The only regret we have is that we didn't get together years ago. But, we look ahead and are grateful for now. I married such a kind hearted man that spoils me rotten! Phil's mom told me one time that Phil was kind like his dad; I agree. We laugh a lot together and respect each other. Three years ago, I married my best friend. I know Dorothy (my mother-in-law) and my grandpa Eldon are smiling down on us.

We posed at the base of a statue of "Mark Twain" while on the tour. I love victorians so I snapped these beautiful homes as we drove by. I was drooling!

We rode this trolley around town. I loved the windows with the etchings. The view of the river was taken while on the tour.

There was a Navy ship which Phil enjoyed as he was in the Navy. He said all the red painted items on the ship are for firefighting. The picture with the flag has the lighthouse in the background.

Hannibal

We stopped at Hannibal on the way home from the shower. These shots were taken at Lover's Leap.

Leena poses at the shower. She was a big helper by passing around the gifts after they were opened. She received a few gifts also which made her feel included. Grammy, momma, and Leena all pose. We played "Measure Mommy's Tummy" and a baby rubber duck was swimming in the punch. Dodie, Mat's step-mom, also put a policeman, firefighter, and paramedic duck in the punch. We had a lot of good food and fun.

Baby Shower!

Lacy's mother-in-law hosted a baby shower on 9.20.08. We had a great time playing games while the men went to Mat's dad's land and did men things! The first picture is the shower cake. Sorry we didn't get to connect with you Mende, the weekend was a whirlwind. I promise we will try to get back down to St. Louis to visit!
